The month of July has started differently than months of the past. What’s changed is the diet.
For the last three weeks I’ve removed meat from my diet and it took me about two days to rid myself of the urge to buy a steak.
I’ve always heard of the benefits of a reduced meat intake, but I’ve also heard of the cons as well. So for the list of questions I’ve asked myself,
Where do I get my protein?
Will I start to lose muscle mass?
What about soy? Some say it’s bad for you, some say those studies are wrong. Some say they will make a man produce more estrogen than he should.
I have no clue as to what is right or wrong… 🤷🏾♂️
But I ask myself this question, why should I NOT do something because of the negatives? Maybe the positives outweigh the negative. But there is really only one way to find out and that’s to do my own research.
I’m not someone that’s doing this because the production of meat and farming is bad for the environment. I’m doing this because I want to lower my blood pressure, maybe carry around a little less body fat. Also I’ve heard that meat consumption can inflame the joints, and I want to make sure I can maintain my training at a high level. At this point, I’m really working to improve my life at every level.
I admit I don’t know a lot at this point, It has almost become a mental challenge. Just another way for me to learn to control my mind and body.
Power Naps …zzzzzz
We all love coffee, but it’s not a long term solution to the problem. How many of us are working and found yourself deprived of sleep? We all go through it at times, and the truth is we can all use a little more sleep. Working while sleep deprived can not only affect your performance, but the performance of the team. Sometimes, we’re just better off taking a nap. Maybe this should be scheduled in the workday as well.

We All Have Body Issues
Every day we wake up we look in the mirror and some days we just don’t like what we see. And sometimes that proves to be a great motivator. There is nothing wrong with wanting to look good, it’s not shallow thinking, it’s honest. But don’t think just because you don’t look like this person or that person, that they don’t have body image issues, or self-esteem issues. I just wanted to share this article with you because we all take issue with what we see sometimes, but it can be worked through. We’re all human.
CBD? That’s weed, Right?
“CBD is a cannabinoid, but not the one that creates the high you associate with inhaling or ingesting marijuana—that’s THC… CBD oils must contain less than 0.03%THC, which is well below the necessary amount to produce any psychoactive response.”
