Have you ever rode by Krispy Kreme, and stopped when you saw the “Hot Now” sign?
When the sign is on, you can think of every reason that you should be treating yourself and celebrating your successful day. ?In all honesty, you probably didn’t do anything to deserve it! But it’s Krispy Kreme, and the light is on, so believe me when I say, I understand.
Just sitting here right now has me thinking about those glazed donuts fresh off the conveyer belt. It?s hard to say no when the opportunity comes.
The Krispy Kreme experience can go one of two ways. The way I?ve experienced it is when you finally decide to walk in and order a donut?A donut, as in ONE donut.
Somehow that one donut turns into a dozen. Krispy Kreme is amazing at getting you to buy more than you intended to.
It’s Okay to Cheat on the Diet
I bring this scenario to you because something like this could blow your diet, and the worst part of blowing your diet in this manner, is not that you blew it, but it’s because you felt out of control. ?The urge was just too strong.
In all likelihood, you?re not going to gain a pound because of this, but the danger is now you feel guilty from the failure.
Two things that no one wants, and that?s failing at something and starting over after failure. And that?s what happens when you blow your diet. You lost control, failed your diet, and now you feel guilty.
But that?s how we feel, and your emotions don?t always tell you the truth. ?You can change your eating habits and have a donut.
You can lose weight and have a donut.
It?s not so much about the donut, but it?s about what you?re eating throughout the week.
Are you eating healthy foods? ?If so, you can have a cheat meal. ?It shouldn?t be every other day, but once a week!
Cheat meals are great, they are a necessity. It’s like eating bad foods on a schedule. ?And the amazing thing about that is you have full control over the whole process. ?You’ll even start looking forward to that splurge meal. ?My only advice to you on that is, please make sure it’s worth it.
I’ve done that before, and once I finished eating, I realized that the anticipation was the best part of the whole deal.
While cheat meals are great, what’s important is how you eat leading up to that meal.
The question becomes, what is your diet? What do you eat on a daily basis?
